Mini Battery of Achievement
The Mini Battery of Achievement is a State Board of Education-approved achievement test, and covers Reading (Identification, Vocabulary, Comprehension), Mathematics (Calculation, Reasoning & Concepts), Writing (Dictation, Proofreading), and Knowledge (Social Studies, Science, HumanitiesArt, Music, Literature). It is individually administered by a certified teacher, who was also a homeschool parent.
There are no practice books or sample tests, so students are assessed on their knowledge, not on their test preparation.
Advantages:
- Individually administeredwe can move on to difficult items or back to easier items, providing more flexibility.
- Computerized scoring provides grade equivalents as well as percentile ranks on each subtest.
- Testing time is only 30 to 45 minutes.
- Results are back to you within a week.
- A parent may observe the testing session, if so desired.
- There are no testing "windows"testing can occur any time of the year.
- Cost is only $45 per student.
