DIY IEP: To Wrap it All Up
As you work through the process of a DIY IEP, you may well find that you follow these steps on a regular basis. You simply haven't used the educational jargon for it. In my examples, I focused on academics. These steps can be used for daily living skills, social skills, and behavior. The key, especially for children with special learning needs, is to break the skills down to manageable pieces.
If you are interested in creating a DIY IEP and want some help getting started, or just want to discuss your child's progress, I am available for consultation. There is no charge for the first hour. If you decide that you want additional time, the charge is $40 an hour or you may purchase four hours for $150. If you would like a consultation, please contact me.
